Braces for Kids

Did you know that the American Association of Orthodontics recommends scheduling your child’s first appointment with an orthodontist on or before his or her 7th birthday?
This may sound young to you, but frequently, this is the ideal time to begin treatment. By that age, the Tooth Fairy has likely made a few visits to your children but they still have most of their baby teeth. So, the orthodontist gets to correct any issues before they become permanent, meaning before all of the adult teeth have erupted and while the jaw continues to grow. Early treatment can save you time, money, and painful surgical procedures down the road! In some cases, your orthodontist may decide that treatment can wait. Either way, you benefit by this first consultation as you now have a specialist monitoring their growth and development every step of the way.
